Claudio Macchetto

Claudio Macchetto is a Managing Director of Business Development at GoldenTree Asset Management. Prior to joining  GoldenTree, Mr. Macchetto was the Co-Head of Client Advisory at BlueMountain Capital, where he managed North American  institutional client relationships and focused on several strategies including fundamental credit, structured credit and CLOs,  among others. Previously, Mr. Macchetto was a Managing Director and Head of Global Platforms at Paulson & Co. where he  worked for over a decade. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer of Citi’s Funds of Hedge Funds business and worked in  corporate development and strategic planning for Citigroup and Salomon Smith Barney and in Booz Allen & Hamilton’s financial  services consulting practice. Mr. Macchetto received an MBA in Finance & Strategic Management from the Wharton School at  the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Mr. Macchetto is currently a  member of the Board of Advisors for Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
