Kevin Skillern

Kevin is a highly experienced venture capitalist in the energy technology space, and has been involved in investments in ~90 energy tech companies. Kevin co-founded EIC and oversees EIC’s investment activities and organizational growth. EIC currently manages 3 funds focused on seed to growth-stage investments focused on energy transition, sustainability and digital transformation technologies, including partnerships with six leading US energy companies. Kevin is active across EIC’s portfolio and currently serves as a board director at Moleaer and Ocean Aero.

Prior to founding EIC, he led GE’s venture and growth capital investing program in technology companies in the energy industry from 2005 through 2013 and led a joint $300 million fund with ConocoPhillips and NRG Energy. Kevin started his career as a strategy consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton focused on the energy sector. Kevin has an MBA from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. Kevin lives in the San Francisco area.
