Miguel Ferreira

Miguel is the founder of Caravela Energy Partners, a hedge fund specializing in North American energy markets. Caravela focuses on data-driven structural models of the energy system to identify imbalances and mispriced risks in futures and equity markets. Prior to Caravela, Miguel worked eleven years at Castleton Commodities International (CCI) and built a North America energy trading desk with an approach similar to that of Caravela Partners. Miguel led a nine person team focused on gas, power, and equity opportunities in public markets. 

Prior to CCI, Miguel worked for three years at Citadel Investment Group on a volatility arbitrage desk where he developed volatility strategies in commodities across vanilla and exotics.

Miguel has a BS and MEng in Computer Science from MIT.
